Students in grades 6-8 participated in the Sky Day Project which is a worldwide event to help all see the beauty in our skies. Students submitted their photos and they will be available for viewing online at Sky Day Project (skydayproject.org) beginning on Sky Day -Friday, September 22. AND Sky Day Project will be exhibited at Chicago's Adler Planetarium from Sky Day (Sept. 22) through Sunday, September 24!  Cool!

Please check your student's sketchbooks; Assignments have been given to grades 5-8 and are due on October 16th.
    

September 15th marks the anniversary of the publication of the best selling author/illustrator Peter Reynolds' The Dot. Educators began celebrating this date as International Dot Day- a day fro classes to explore the story's powerful themes: bravery, creativity, and self-expression.
At Mother of God we will be celebrating Dot Day on Thursday September 20th. Students will be working with varies Dot projects in both Art class and PBL. In addition Thursday will be a free dress day for students to wear "DOTS" please adhere to the proper dress code for free dress day.
