Why Build? Why Now?
For the past 37 years, Mother of God School has worked tirelessly to bring the Gospel of Jesus Christ into our culture through an outstanding Catholic education. We have been supporting families’ highest aspirations for their children. Through high academic standards and a faith-filled communication of our Catholic faith, we provide what young people need to live fulfilling lives of faith and service.
We need to renovate our facility to continue this God-given mission for subsequent generations. This renovation and new building are essential for our school’s safety, efficiency and the space needed to continue providing the very best Catholic education. Additionally, our facility is used after hours by St. John Neumann Parish and numerous Catholic groups. Help us renovate and build to serve these families, for the NEXT 40 Years!
Groundbreaking in June 2025!
Phase 1: New 5,000 SF Building Addition Joining the Two Existing Buildings in 2025 (COST: $2.1M)
This building addition will provide numerous benefits for students and faculty, including:
- A single school entrance, increasing integration & security;
- Indoor, secure corridors between the buildings on the 1st and 2nd floors;
- Consolidation of the administrative offices;
- Additional classrooms: a new Media Center, STEM Lab and a large multi-use FlexRoom with an attached chapel;
- Free up space in the main school building to enlarge classrooms and to increase tutoring space;
Phase 2: Build Out New Library/Media Center & STEM Lab (Cost: $150K) – Spring 2026
- Moved to 2nd-floor room in a new building addition overlooking the piazza
- Optimize student reading skills and a life-long love of reading
- Room configured for multi-purpose use both during the school day and after-hours use
- The current STEM Lab is accessible only to middle school
- The new STEM Lab will not be a homeroom so that it will be accessible to all students in our school
- This renovated and redesigned space allows for Project Based Learning and 21st Century skill attainment
Phase 3: Remodel 2nd & 3rd Floors in the Main School Building (250K) – Summer 2026
2nd Floor
- Elimination of the receptionist area and smallest classroom
- The remaining classrooms will be enlarged
- Enlarged and centralized Resource Room with an additional tutoring room
- New expanded teacher workspace
3rd Floor
- Elimination of the offices allows for the addition of a 3rd middle school classroom
- Single bathrooms expanded into larger multi-stall bathrooms
- New expanded teacher workspace and IT workshop
Phase 4: Renovate Art Room into a New Music & Art studio (Cost: $50K) – Summer 2027
- Our 1,200 SF Art room is currently a two-day per-week classroom
- Remodeling optimizes premium space use
- Attractive built-in cabinetry to store and hide art and music materials
- Versatile rolling tables and chairs allow for easy change of use
- An attractive aesthetic will update and modernize the space
