The Mother of God Drama program provides an opportunity for middle school students to develop confidence through dramatic performances before a live audience. Cast and crew members learn the valuable experience of working together to bring to life a set, a story, and many memorable characters. The program aspires to create a living experience of classical literature and drama and to engage students in every aspect of this process, from building and staging the set, to mastering the techniques of light and sound. Mother of God’s drama program has provided many years of successful productions that enrich students’ and school families’ lives.

Anne of Green Gables is the beloved and classic children’s novel by Canadian author Lucy Maud Montgomery. Set in the late 19th century, the novel recounts the adventures of 11 year old orphan girl Anne Shirley, sent by mistake to two middle-aged siblings who had originally intended to adopt a boy to help them on their farm in Prince Edward Island, Canada. The story recounts how Anne wins the hearts of the Cuthberts and makes her way in life, in school, and within the town of Avonlea.
